I proudly claim the title "crazy plant lady". I do not have loads of house plants, I prefer hardy outdoor plants, but I am always fawning over and planning outings around wildflowers in bloom. So it should come as no surprise that they also make it into my art.
This stem is a Colorado Columbine- our state flower and a beauty that I found near my house one summer. I thuroughly enjoy all stages of a flowers life- so I especially like how this stem has one flower in bloom and one going to seed.
I created this piece with pen and watercolor.
